Its twist-and-turn design allows the directional gimbal to focus light on specific areas with remarkable precision. The directional downlight is designed to provide 360 degrees of rotation and 70 degrees of tilt. Excellent aiming adjustability makes it an excellent choice to accentuate merchandise or artwork, highlight architectural features and enhance commercial environment for maximum impact. This product comes in two beam spread options. The 24° cutoff is ideal for providing selective contrast and creating high drama to emphasize distinctive features while the 36°wide accent beam is used to reveal shape and texture in products. The optical system consists of a lens and faceted reflector which combine to create high center beam intensity and uniformity without generating disturbing glare.
The recessed LED downlight leverages chip-on-board (COB) technology to deliver high efficacy and high flux density with greater uniformity than SMD LEDs which have small intense emitting surfaces. The Ansen 6-inch adjustable gimbal comes in 30W and 50W models which produce 2400 and 3750 lumens respectively with a choice of 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K color temperatures in 80+ or 90+ CRI. The COB LED utilizes proprietary phosphor technology to produce optimized light spectrum that makes colors appear rich and intense. A tight chromaticity specification ensures outstanding color consistency. The adjustable downlight is constructed to accommodate lifelong optimal operation of the high density LED light engine. The light assembly housing is made of die cast magnesium alloy which provides significantly higher thermal conductivity than aluminum alloy. The housing has integrally cast cooling fins which are designed to increase the thermal transfer rate. An electric cooling fan that uses magnetic levitation technology to reduce friction and heat provides forced convection for effective thermal management. A thermal interface material (TIM) provides efficient thermal exchange between the COB LED and heat sink. Integrated thermal management ensures the junction temperature to be consistently controlled within the characteristic temperature limit of the phosphor material. The light assembly is held in place with two spring loaded clips which are attached to a die cast aluminum trim.
The driver mounts externally to the downlight. It accommodates input voltages from 100 to 240 volts AC at 50/60Hz. The line-powered driver delivers high power conversion efficiency, excellent power factor (PF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD) through the entire load range. The constant current driver operates with a topology that provides an accurate output current with a low ripple value, which enables flicker-free operation of the lighting system. The driver comes with full set of internal protection features such as over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, and over-temperature protection.
